I'm just hearing bits of it on the news, seems like the statement was quickly retracted and he is denying it.

I kept having a very strange feeling today that something bad was going to happen. I always get this same feeling before I hear of a death.I am in shock---she's an around the way girl--from East Orange, NJ. I am from Newark, NJ and remember going to her church back in the day where she sang in the choir--Abyssinian Baptist Church on Waverly Ave. in Newark. God bless you Whitney--love you forever ♥

Ray-J supposedly went out with Whitney. Like, they hooked up. Very strange. Apparently they were together the last few days. I don't know if that's true. There are so many different reports out there at the moment.

It's like the Amy Winehouse effect... you're shocked at first, then it sinks in, and you realize that in some way, you were always expecting it. Actually, I've been mourning Whitney for years (much like Michael Jackson). The Whitney I knew growing up died years ago. So sad.

My thoughts exactly...how can they compare two pics 26 years apart?

Cheek implants are really obvious, and I thought celebrities usually made their noses smaller. Hers got bigger.

    RIP

Man, I leave to take a shower and come back to this....and you guys were all updated already....I had the TV on all day and didn't hear a thing till I saw it from FAD on FB....It's sad, she used to have a one of a kind voice it's a shame drugs ravaged it. I would imagine it's drug related. May she RIP now that she has the monkey off her back. She carried alot of saddness for the last several years.

Didn't see this link up yet, but it was on the FB FAD site....something was going on last night....

So sad! I am shocked, but I shouldn't be. I have never understood the backlash at Bobby Brown, Whitney wasn't a kid when she met him, she was a grown woman that made her own choices. I have always had a feeling she was a lot rougher around the edges than her management team was comfortable with, so they gave her a new image to sell a product. I remember watching her show WAAAAYYYYY back in the day and she was always irate and ready to fight with someone.

I also don't think she looked that bad in that recent picture that was posted, I mean she was almost 50, she still looked beautiful! I feel bad for her daughter, especially since she is going to be kicked around in the tabloids all over again.

CNN is saying they were holed up in there for the past two days. I highly doubt they were playing bridge.

    Drinking Game

Here's an idea for a drinking game: a shot every time a grammy winner mentions Whitney Houston in their acceptance speech.

Actually, that may be a little dangerous...

Hers was the first concert I ever attended. RIP - not shocked, really, but sad. I hope she didn't off herself due to the pressure of not being able to hit her notes properly (alluded to in an earlier post).

I must admit the photos of the late Houston from her outing Thursday night did not paint a picture of sobriety. Silently, I hoped that she'd rise above whatever was haunting her and eventually get better.
Although now not living, I do feel she is in a better place and finally free!
    Very sad

No, at Clive Davis' Grammy party, tonight. Looks like they might want to see if they can get Jennifer Hudson for the gig now.
