Kasey Kahne Twitters About Public Breastfeeding

Did anyone else see this story? It seems like little Mr. Kahne has issues with public breastfeeding and decided to Twitter his disgust. Immature little punk!

What a stupid putz. It astounds me that this day in age there are people who are mortified to see a woman breast feeding in public. Come on. Yeah, like women want to be shoved off into the corner of some nasty public bathroom to feed their babies. Seriously, why are they looking so close anyway? IMO, there's something extremely wrong with people like this.

Yeah, and when a woman sent him an angry Twitter after reading what he said, he called her a dumb bitch. Of course, he is now apologizing since he knows he pissed off so many people, but you know he isn't really sorry. It's like when a child punches a younger sibling and the mom makes the child apologize and they force an I'm sorry out through clenched teeth. I'm sure Nascar made him apologize so it won't make them look bad. I'm not going to lie, it makes me somewhat uncomfortable to see a woman's naked boob in public, but I don't expect them to hide in a bathroom to feed their baby. They can drape a receiving blanket over their shoulder and be more private and still feed the baby anywhere they go. It certainly isn't "nasty" like he said it was.

ITA- his "apology" was half assed and he really didn't apologize for what he said, only that he upset anyone. How immature. In all my life, almost every woman I have ever seen breastfeeding in public has a blanket covering herself and the baby, but I do realize that for a moment or two, the blanket might be in the way, especially when trying to get a small infant to "latch on". With all the boobs people see every day on TV, in movies, magazines, fashions shows, billboards, etc., I find it hysterical that some people freak out when seeing a breast being used for it's true purpose. Really an immature comment from a very immature man- it figures.

You can bet your sweet ass that he wouldn't be complaining to see some big fake airbag tits on a hot chick. He's just taking issue because there is a baby attached to a mommy looking boob instead of seeing a porn star looking boob. What a jackass!

I suggest someone put him in his Nascar with a screaming baby who needs a feed in a safety capsule
in the back and send him around the track for 400 laps and see how he feels.

He's allowed his own opinion. I have no problem with topless women, but I have no desire to have to sit in a restaurant and watch your milk squirting out of your breast because you need to feed your kid in Ruby Tuesday's.

    So don't look.

I see things that offend my sensibilities on a daily basis. Ass crack hanging out and mammoth amounts of cleavage, ill fitting clothing, offensive t shirts, offensive language.... the list goes on. I'd rather see a woman breastfeeding (and come on, how often do you see anything more than a blanket over their shoulder anyways? And if you are feeding and don't have the decency to cover up then you deserve some heat) in a public place than any of those things.

I can't believe we live in a society where we have to accept verbal, written, tonsorial and aural vulgarity in all it's forms and where if you have anything that resembles good old fashioned manners you're mocked, but in all this openness and expression NURSING A CHILD is vulgar. If seeing that offends you so greatly then you have some major hang ups.

Save the rage for a few years until the child is running amok in Ruby Tuesdays.

I was going to say the same thing Miho, but didnt know how to word it. Last thing I care to see at the table next to me is this swollen tit come out from some girls shirt/ blouse and start feeding a baby milk as im sitting across from her eating my steak or mashed potatoes. I know its natural and what womens boobs are ment to do, but pooping and peeing is natural too, every living thing does it but theres places to do that and places not to also.

Plus theres alot of lonely men out there that are perverts , and would stare

Very true, but many women don't try to be discreet and just whip it out wherever. Again I have no problem with boobs and feeding is natural, but like someone else said so is taking a shit and giving birth to a child and I don't want to see that in public either.

Those women who just whip it out are screaming for attention and are the ones producing the screaming brats in the first place.

I feel the same way, I don't want to watch breast feeding/peeing/pooping while I am eating.

It doesn't bother me one bit. I get more disturbed at restaurants by people with lousy tablemanners.

I've also never witnessed a woman "whipping it out".

    Sounds like someone was staring.

I have NEVER seen a woman just "whip it out" and sit there totally unexposed while nursing. NEVER. Where are people seeing this?

When I was middle school age, there was a woman who attended the same church that my mom drug me to. She had two children that were a little over a year apart and she breastfed them. She would sit about in the middle of the church on the inside of the aisle with her children. She didn't just "whip it out" to feed her baby, but she made no effort to cover herself either. Of course, most younger children that weren't used to seeing babies being fed that way and goofy teenage boys that were happy to see anybody's boobs stared at her everytime she breastfed her babies. I thought the least she could do was cover herself somewhat since she was in church, but she didn't and she had to have known she was being stared at. I guess she just didn't mind.

So we either feed our child in a public toilet or we never leave the house till our child stops breast feeding???????????

If my three year old twins are playing somewhere and the baby starts crying it is so much easier to feed her where we are rather than try and drag the twins away somewhere else. Where? I mean at the local shopping mall they have breast feeding rooms but they are tiny and it's hard to keep the boys entertained there so it is easier to buy them some ice creams and sit in the main food court. I guess I am pretty discreet though. I feed her either in her carrier or under a blanket. I have had conversations with people while breast feeding and they never even noticed. I've fed her on a bus before and sitting on a railway station, at the park. I guess most people would rather be stuck on a bus with a feeding baby than a screaming one.

I mean, really, in a world with people like Courtney Stodden walking around...

Kasey Kahne is one of those closet case fags who thinks acting supermacho and disparaging womanfolk is an effective cloak. You can fool yourself dickmunch but you cant fool everyone else. BTW hes an ugly little twat. Probably has a micropenis and a mostly empty nutsack that resembles a womans labia.

Don't have a problem with it. I've never seen anyone whip it out, and a couple times the woman didn't cover up, just held baby close so you couldn't see much but baby's head. There are many other things that truly are disgusting - tight lycra pants with a panty line and muffin top - camel toe with upper thigh fold over - and other such visions usually found in the aisles of Walmart or the food court at the mall.

No one said he isnt entitled to his opinion. He has every right to believe whatever stupid shit he believes in and to state his nasty ugly dumb beliefs and everyone else has the right to call him out on his dumb shitty opinions. If you dont wanna see it then dont look at it. Breasts arent being shoved into your face their being shoved into the babys face. The real babies arent crying about this issue the big overgrown babyman is.

I don't think it would have been a big deal at all until he decided to Twitter about it in a smartass way, making derogatory remarks, and then calling a woman a dumb bitch would responded negatively to his Twitter remarks by Twittering back herself. He was offensive and immature about it and got hateful when confronted over his remarks.

I think a lot of these yahoos just twitter shit to get attention.

It doesn't bother me in the least if a mother wants to breastfeed in public but now that I think about it I can't remember the last time I saw this happen. I think a lot of women use the breast pump.

Shoot, years ago I hung out with some "free spirits" that would let toddlers raise up their shirt(no bra) and have at it. This was at a private party but still a bit much.

I agree that he did the Twittering for attention, he just didn't like the kind of attention it got and Nascar sure didn't want it casting a bad reflection on them. He is young and sees breasts as sexual instead of feeding babies and I'm sure a lot of guys his age feel the same way. He just wasn't too bright to Twitter about it in an offensive way and call it nasty and then be insulting toward people who didn't agree with him. I doubt if he even realized what a shitstorm he had started until people started responding to his comments. Some breastfeeders can be down right militant.

Most people lack verbal filters to begin with, and social media makes it worse. A lot of people "tweet" what they wouldn't have the gall to say face to face. Hence we get a 24/7 non stop feed of idiocy.

That is very true! I don't have a Facebook page, but my husband, son, and one daughter do. It amazes me some of the shit people say on there and some of the yucky pictures they post.

I think people are uncomfortable with it because they simply aren't used to seeing it.

My gawd... years ago it was an outrage to let your ankle peek out from under your long dress.

Hey! Let's go back to wearing "proper" little numbers like this. She'd better watch her exposed wrists!

The only time I've ever noticed a woman breastfeeding in public was a situation kind of like that. A kid old enough to walk, talk, and have many visible teeth climbed up on a chair, pulled up his mom's shirt and took care of business, while his mom chatted away. This was in the packed lobby of the last psychiatric office I worked in, which wasn't far from Kasey Kahne's home track in NC. I only wish I'd had a camera to capture the many shocked faces out there.

I don't have problems with breasts. I have a problem when women think it is ok to rest their breast on a restaurant table and feed their kid. I don't want to see you wiping breast milk off of a public restaurants table. I have rights too and I don't want to lose my appetite seeing your engorged breasts shooting out milk.

I have NEVER seen any woman do this. NEVER. How can a woman nurse a baby with her breast "resting on a restaurant table"? I don't get the logistics of how that could work, as the baby needs to latch on and be held close to the mother. Do they just plop the baby down on the table too? Doesn't make sense to me. IDK.

Sorry should have clarified. It was just after the baby stopped feeding. She just plunked it down right on the table.
