Thread: Favorite movies?

The two funniest movies in my opinion were widely panned by just about everyone. In fact, I could be the only person who liked them, much less loved them!

Mr. Wrong, starring Ellen DeGeneres and Bill Pullman. I could watch this movie 100 times and I'd still be laughing my ass off during the clown scene

Bowfinger, starring Steve Martin and the wonderful Christine Baranski. The scene with the dog in the parking garage is comedy gold and even Eddie Murphy was funny in this movie!

Lots of great picks here, but my all time favorite is definitely Ghostbusters.

Wayne's World - that grey poupon mustard scene in the taxi made me laugh so loud, that people in the theatre were laughing at my laugh.

Cat Ballou - an oldie but man, that was funny, especially Lee Marvin drunk on the horse.

Garbage Men with I think Charlie Sheen or it could have been his brother Emilio Estevez, was a pretty funny movie.

My ex-husband loved Pee-Wee Herman, which gives me that much more of an excuse to dislike Pee-Wee. I do think he would be considered comedy.

    The Big Lebowski
Clerks (I didn't like the second one too much...it was so cliche with the whole falling in love and having a baby thing. It was more like a RomCom. I hate RomCom's)

Love Kevin Smith's movies. Also his "Evening with" shows. Do you ever listen to his Smodcasts? There've been a few times when he's talking with Jay and tears are streaming down my face because I'm laughing so hard!

I love The Goonies as well. The first time I watched it on DVD I chose the commentary option with the stars of the movie, and it was hilarious! They spent a good portion of it just ragging on Sean Astin. I think they recorded it while he'd just started doing the Lord of the Rings movies. At one point he had to leave the commentary, and they just started cracking on him!

We watch it a least once a month also. Your quote is one of my favorites. My daughter takes it to other people's homes just so she can spread the joy.

It is actually really hard not to keep quoting the movie here.
