David was a martial artist? I saw him on either Merv Griffin or Phil Donohue back during his Kung Fu days and when the host asked him about his martial art moves, David laughed that laugh of his and said "I'm not a martial artist; I fake it."

    Nice going, 'skully!!!!!

I remember when he and Barbara Hershey, or at that time she was Barbara Seagull --were hippies and when they had their baby they ate the placenta. I remember my Mom reading it from the paper once and she was really pale the rest of the night.

Sure, sure, that's what they all say. So, Mr. Carradine hung his junk and then ended up hanging himself. What a way to go.

On the set of "Boxcar Bertha" David and Barbara were not simulating coitus, they were truly fucking.

---I remember hearing about that several times in the past. I can't think of two less sexy people to watch having sex.

Maybe he was ill or he was worried that as he is getting up in age and if some illness should befall him, stroke etc, he didn't want to have to be a burden to anyone, maybe he decided to end it while he still had the strength , I'm much much too young to have watched kung fu but I do know him from the kill bill movies. rest in peace

I remember one of his brothers in a video with Madonna.
    Can't remember his name though.
His father John was a handsome man when he was young.

I've heard of chicks doing it. I've heard of couples doing, where the guy strangles the chick by consent and I imagine vice verse. People have died, obviously.

His brother Keith was in Desperately Seeking Susan, and he was also in a video of a song from that movie.

My guess on what happened?---I think he wasn't alone, I think he was engaging in some kink and had a heart attack or something and the other person evaporated after that. Just my guess.

That's a beautiful picture of him. I loved him in "Kung Fu". I heard about it today and all I heard was "Hung himself naked in the bathroom of a nice hotel in Bangkok with the curtain cord". I didn't read through the thread and will go back and see what really happened. Sorry if this has been posted, but I love the theme song from "Kung Fu" and it's on my youtube and it so reminds me of him.

    RIP David

Remember what Margaret Cho said about him and his "Kung Fu" role? "They should have named the show: hey, that dude's not Chinese!".

I enjoyed the series when it came back in the early '90s on UPN. There was a really cool line up of shows back then on UPN: the Kung Fu Show 2.0, Robin's Hoods, a show with Ricardo Montalban as an angel who watched over a husband/wife detective team, some show with Cheryl Ladd as a private detective on a tropical island, some show with Rick Springfield who was a surfing detective with his brother....I did like the Kung Fu series that aired then. I remember watching the first one but it always gave me the creeps.

No kidding! Dude didn't look remotely Asian, even though he was squinting his brains out.

I loved the show when I was little (and DC may have been my first celebrity crush), but they really should have given Bruce Lee the role. If they had, I guarantee it would be a cult classic 'til this day.

I LOVE that DVD. Margaret is too funny. It is amusing that even in this day and age that they didn't get an asian guy to play that role. The powers that be reverted back to the Amos and Andy times.

That had to be a very long shoelace.

Hedy Lamarr made loads of money when she was young and then
when she was older had her lights turned off for non-payment.
She also had to charge a sandwich at a drug store and Frank Sinatra
    paid some of her bills.

It is possible to go broke after being a big star.

But I don't know if David was broke or what?
Might explain the donations wanted on his site?
