I think this guy's music was incredible. He could do anything from the very 60ish spy theme for "Our Man Flint" to a sacred sounding melody in "The Trouble With Angels". In fact--you would be surprised that he wrote the music for some of your favorite movies:

I love Jerry Goldsmith, he was brilliant. My absolute favorites are the soundtracks to Planet of the Apes, Patton and The Omen.
