I heard they put up some time in the house on EBAY a while back.
Hopefully the stream of obsenities from Darrin McGavin aren't still hovering over Lake Michigan.
I'll watch it tonight on DVD. Anybody got the new dvd ultimate collection that came out? I have the 2 disc edition...and it's great with all the behind the scenes stuff.
A Christmas Story tonight for me.
White Christmas tomorrow for my bro.
That's my Xmas tradition...
Yep, that's the one I have too. I love all the comments and info.

It's on the scene right now where Flick's tongue gets stuck to the pole
It's still weird to think the guy who played Flick was in pornos for a while (where other people's tongues stuck to *his* pole)

Fragi-lee!
I don't know what happened...I was watering my plant...and I...broke your lamp.
Best. Line. Ever. Especially the smug look on her face as she goes into the room with the watering can.
We have it on DVD too, but it's never the same as when you watch the marathon.

Bumpuses!!!!
Dad's gonna kill Ralphie!
The most dangerous woman of all is the one who refuses to rely on your sword to save her because she carries her own.

and those "damn Bumpass's dogs"!
Stay in Drugs. Eat your School. Don't do Vegetables.
This is the film's 25 anniversary. Released in 1983.

" 'FRA-GEE-LAY' that must be italian! "
"i think that says fragile, dear."
"you used up all the glue!!!"
i love this movie, i always quote it while im watching it.
Here is a nice seasonal cartoon. It is about a homicidal snowman and is evil and very entertaining. There are 9 parts, all on youtube or direct on www.aniboom.com/snowy
Part 1 to give you a taster:
Reminds me of this killer snowman movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Frost_(1996_film)
Nice posting Vlad. A whole new "death hag" way to look at it.
I LOVE this movie! Yes,Wendy, I noticed him bulging under his polyester. How about when he and Clark are drinking egg nog and Eddie has on a skin tight sweater with a dickie on under it? Clark asks him "can I get you something to eat, refill your egg nog, take you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?" That movie is a scream! I have probably seen it over a hundred times and never get tired of it, even my kids love it. It is a family tradition to watch it every Christmas. Good times...
lmao..same here. Always, every year, watch it.
It's the kickoff to the holiday season in our household!
"Elf" is a must-see every year for me, altho I won't watch it until Xmas Eve or Xmas Day.
I love Charlie Brown Christmas, A Christmas Story, and Christmas Vacation. I love it when the squirrel is on Clark's back. Cousin Eddie cracks me up.
"A Christmas Story" marathon has been a holiday tradition in my household for a few years now. If TBS ever quit doing it, the words "OH FFFFFUUUDDDDGGGGE!" come to mind.
Cindy
I love the oldies....Christmas in Connecticut and The Bishop's Wife are favorites.
Not so much "Christmas" movies, but take place during the holidays and worth watching....
The Man Who Came to Dinner (Bette Davis and Monty Wooley)
Holiday (Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn)
Hope you all find some time to relax with your favorites this season!
Obviously - It's A Wonderful Life...........but one of my favs has to be Elf - it is so funny. Will Ferrell is hilarious!
When I was younger I cried every year during the Garfield Christmas special .. when the granny was talking about being a widow. I am pathetic.
my all time favorite ...
I have probably posted this before but my favorites are The Little Match Girl and then one called The Littlest Angel that starred Johnny Sebastian. They were big in the 60's and 70's.
Wanna see my grandkids?

My mom can't stand Christmas Story. Hubby and I make it a point to get her something from that movie for christmas every year. Last year we got her a leg lamp night light, which we wrapped in Christmas Story wrapping paper. This year, my brother found some christmas story fudge and gave it to her at thanksgiving.
How can anyone not love Ralphie? My husband is kicked back in his recliner, wearing pajama bottoms with little Ralphie faces all over them and a t-shirt with Ralphie on it that says "You'll shoot your eye out!" We also have a lot of Christmas Story ornaments on our tree. We are like a couple of kids! Ralphie and the Griswalds and Cousin Eddie are a tradition here!
The Nightmare Before Christmas
THe year without a santa Claus with Heat Miser and Snow Miser gotta love it.
I'm also a fan of the oldies... Christmas in Connecticut (I've just recently discovered Barbara Stanwyck... holy cow!), The Bishop's Wife, The Shop Around the Corner, etc. My favorite that they always seem to show around this time of year, but isn't a Christmas movie at all, is I Remember Mama.
But my absolute favorites are the ones I grew up with. A Charlie Brown Christmas is near and dear to my heart. It was originally shown the year I was born, and it became a family event to watch it every year on TV. Yeah, remember when they only showed these specials and movies once a year?!
A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
and an oldie that's not playing anymore...
Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas. It used to come on HBO every December!
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

The Homecoming
The old Rankin/Bass productions (Rudolph etc.)
