Mine exactly!!! We watch them year round. Last night the Grinch was on TV in HD and I DVR'd it. My God the detail, vivid colors, no scratches!!!!! I'm speechless to describe how breathtaking it was. Did anyone else watch it?
    It was amazing.

    It's a Wonderful Life

I also adore all those little old Christmas cartoons, the ones from like the 60's and such; they look like little wood carvings or something. (just woke up, can't put my finger on any names or who makes them.)

And definitely Frosty the Snowman, the original form 1969 with Jimmy Durante as the narrator.
I had it on VHS when I was little and for some reason it's always stuck with me. The scene where Frosty melts still gets me teary eyed!

Does anyone remember a special that was shown in the 60's and 70's called 'The Littlest Angel'? Johnny Whitaker played the angel.
Yes yes!! I think you can get it on dvd now. I loved that movie. Used to watch that and The Little Drummer Boy, one after the other.

I know I am going to catch hell for this but:
A Very Brady Christmas! Especially the cheesy ending when they sing O Come All Ye Faithful and Mike comes out of the collapsed building.

A Christmas Story and It's Christmas Again Charlie Brown are also my favorites!

My sis tried to order a copy of it for me for Christmas one year, apparently it was only out on VHS. For some reason the company she ordered it from ended up not being able to send it, don't know what the deal was, but I'd sure love a copy of it.

I love the ending! Did you know most of the Christmas stuff came from the director's own collection?
Evidently, 'Christmas Evil' is one of John Water's favorite films.

    ** I haven't seen this-but 'Two Front Teeth'

It is about an airplane that is brought down by a flying
creature with a glowing nose. Santa is a vampire who puts people on his list and kills them. He has an army of zombie elves.

Did you notice the scene when the parents go after 'Santa'-the director made it look alot like the scene in 'Frankenstein' where the villagers go after the Monster?

...with no hesitation I say "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" - the cartoon NOT the movie!

I actually worked with someone who looked like Cindy-Lou Who.

I also love A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim, excellent!

Can't really much to what's already been mentioned, but a special big-up for the original Scrooge movie with Alastair Sim - by far the best version for me. And A Christmas Memory the TV movie version of Truman Capote's short story with Geraldine Page. That's quite lovely. Finally, a couple or so years back the BBC made a version of The Snow Queen for Xmas which was stunning. If this is on DVD do buy it.

Call me old fashioned but I have always liked

When near the end Linus Quotes the Scripture of

Almost all named above! I do have to agree with ShatteredMirror and the Alistar Sims version of Scrooge ~ the best.

I am so corny, I have the Christmas Story on for 24 hrs. when they run it on TBS!!!!

I just found out that they are having the Polar Express in 3D! I know what I'm buying myself for Christmas

Olive is sweet and reminds me of my late JR terrier, Coorsie!

Apart from It's a Wonderful Life, I love The Muppets Christmas Carol. "There goes Mr. Humbug, there goes Mr. Scrooge...."

Also, I've watched Love, Actually for the last two Christmases, and probably will again this year!

It's a Wonderful Life, without a doubt is top, followed by Scrooge with Alistair Sim, followed by Miracle on 34th Street - the old one, where Natalie Wood is a little girl

But also like Polar Express, Home Alone and as for Elf - it makes me laugh out loud no matter how many times I've seen it!!!
