Awwww....RIP...
I always liked her and felt bad she went thru that hell for awhile. RIP
This is sad but you know the in-the-know death pool people had her high on their lists. She checked two boxes- (1)Baby Boomer and (2)Mentally ill. RIP
:( Rest In Peace.
She fought through her own personal hell and I admire her for it. Rest easy Margot.
Mary Pickford, Margot Kidder to Wayne Gretzky etc.. wish
more celebrities born in Canada when going to the USA
to find fame and fortune should know they got there first
start here in Canada.
But sadly they forget.
Also RIP Margot Kidder.
So true for them and many more. Then there is this dick, when your fame and fortune is all gone you may need to come "home" and get a welfare check. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/joey-votto-...logy-1.4665046
I watched an interview with him years ago, not only classy, and absolute gentleman. Still lives in St. Catherines I believe .
tragic last days

I think we'll all recall from the 1990's when she was hiding in someone's yard and they found her, so she's really been suffering from this at least 20 years. RIP.
EDIT-
From the Daily Mail article:
"Close friend Louisa Willcox told DailyMail.com that the actress had tried to help local meth-heads but had been 'a real bad judge of people'"
Good lord! You don't help those people, you call the law on them.
Wow I really had a huge crush on her from Superman as a kid....RIP
Tragic, she was a beautiful woman in her time; my favorite Lois Lane.
Not surprising, but still sad.

Very sad indeed.
I am so sad to hear this. Peace Margot.
Poor Margot - what tortured you so?
Seems like it was in the cards for Margot to go the way she did, if this portrait is accurate:
Quote:
"She acted impulsively with little thought for consequence, moved from crisis to crisis enveloped by dark clouds of Sturm und Drang. She broke hearts and sued producers. Kidder was heavily into the movement, and struck her friends as not altogether stable. She had a Frances Farmer quality about her. And of course she took drugs like they were going out of style, always the first on the block to smoke, snort or swallow the pill du jour." ~ from "Easy Riders, Raging Bulls: How the Sex-Drugs-And-Rock 'N' Roll Generation Saved Hollywood" by Peter Biskind, pub. by Simon & Schuster, 1998
I've heard of that book, I will have to look for it.
I always had a special place for Margot in my heart, although she was nuttier than squirrel poop. At least she's out from under.
