Good character actor. I remember him from a few things beside Frasier. Not as old as I thought. RIP.

While watching the show once back in the mid 90's a friend mentioned that he was a lot younger than I thought - only in his 50's back then.
I'm afraid I thought he had already gone on to the great beyond. RIP.

I loved Mahoney on Frasier. That was my first exposure to him, and I went back and watched some of the other things he did. He was great, and by all accounts an all around decent guy. I was surprised to read tha the got his start in acting when he was older than I am now! That's kind of inspiringbecause that means I still have some time to become something great.
